A few words from Liz:
Back in 2000 I had my first exposure to Pilates in a classical studio setting where I fell in love with the method created by Joseph Pilates. I rehabbed my multiple stress fractures from distance running and I instantly fell in love with this form of movement.
This passion led me to begin teaching after training with Dance Medicine Australia (DMA) in clinical pilates along with gaining a Michael king mat certification to teach group classes. During my 20s as a physiotherapy student I taught clinical pilates with a focus on injury recovery and prevention.
After becoming a mum I was overjoyed to return to classical work after finding a brilliant teacher Wade Edwell and his studio Proper Pilates in our own Macedon Ranges. I currently train with Wade 4-5 times a week and am immersed in a coaching program with him focused on teaching the classical pilates method.
I bring over 20 years of pilates experience to my mat classes and aim to create the optimal balance in challenging your mind and body in strength, length, alignment and mindfully challenging movement. Pilates will take you to your limits and beyond. It will show you that your body can do so much more than you are yet to know.
I have so much fun training the clients at Change it up Training in the classical mat work. It is a motivated, strong, fun and social environment we create during the classes.
Hope to see you there soon
